PVA for PVC Dispersant

Enion PVC suspending dispersant is a kind of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with special structure and function. It is produced with natural gas. This kind of PVA or PVOH is with less impurities and high purity, and has excellent gum retention and dispersibility. The suspending agent manufactured by special process ensures viscosity stability and high uniformity of dispersion properties, making sure the balance of apparent density and oil absorption of PVC.

Enion can supply full line of primary and secondary suspending agents for PVC manufacturers, which can be used in all grades of PVC manufacturing.

Primary suspending dispersant

PVA 8850 and PVA8548: can be used for special requirements such as blended resins, paste resins and high vinyl acetate copolymers, as well as general resins of all grades.

PVA 8035, PVA 8039, PVA8048: a kind of polyvinyl alcohol with 80% alcoholysis degree specially developed for suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride as the main dispersant. The product can be melted in cold and hot water, is a fully industrialized mature product.

PVA 725 and PVA 745: shows a series of advantages such as: high efficiency in controlling resin particle size, so the dosage is small; stable product quality, which brings stable quality for customer products; good resin fluidity; better thermal stability and so on. It must be noted that different polymerization formulations, factory designs, and different PVC grade requirements will have different results.

PVA 735: is the latest generation of polyvinyl alcohol dispersant specially developed for the suspending polymerization of vinyl chloride. It shows a series of advantages such as: high efficiency in controlling resin particle size, so the addition amount is small; stable product quality; the resin fluidity is good; better thermal stability performance and so on. PVA735 was developed to meet the requirements of PVC manufacturers for greater particle size control at lower loading levels than the traditional 72.5% grade, while maintaining all the benefits of this grade of dispersants.

Secondary suspending dispersant

PVA 552: was developed as a porosity-enhancing additive for PVC suspension polymerization. It has a very low methanol content, and can be used in combination with all primary dispersants. PVA 552 can be added directly or pumped into the water line. It should be added after at least a portion of the primary dispersant, or all of the primary dispersant.

PVA 452: is a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution with alcoholysis degree 45. It is different from the traditional grade of polyvinyl alcohol (the traditional grade of polyvinyl alcohol is insoluble in water, only soluble in low molecular chain alcohol). PVA 452 can be completely soluble in water, and the methanol content is very low compared with traditional products.

For traditional auxiliary dispersant, the standard method is to add part of the main dispersant before adding the auxiliary dispersant; PVA 452 is not affected by the addition method. We recommend adding it through the water line.
