Polyvinyl Alcohol PVA 2099

Product Overview:

PVA 2099 is a white yellow granule or powder in appearance. It is a water-soluble and environmentally friendly polymer with a wide range of usage. Its performance is between plastic and rubbe with good properties:

1.Solubility: Strong hydrophilicity, easily soluble in water (usually dissolved in hot water above 90°C), insoluble in almost all organic solvents.

2. Film-forming: easy to form a film, and its film has excellent mechanical properties. Except for H2O, the PVA film has excellent barrier properties to H2, N2, O2 and other gases.

3. Adhesion: It has good adhesion with hydrophilic cellulose, paper, etc.

4. Thermal stability: When the PVA is heated to above 130°C, the appearance changes gradually. Complete alcoholysis of PVA begins to melt at around 180-190°C, and begins to decompose above 200°C.

5. Solvent resistance: PVA has strong resistance to weak acid and weak alkali, and has good oil resistance.

6. Reactivity: It has excellent cross-linking reactivity, can cross-link with boric acid, etc., and undergo acetal reaction with formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, etc., and the product has water resistance.

Application

PVA 2099 is widely used in below industry:

1. Adhesives: used for office paste, re-wet paste, paper tubes, paper bags, cartons, plywood, non-woven fabrics, etc. Used in building materials, iron, acid salts, ceramics, pottery, ink, paint glue for painting tools, paint glue, cement admixture for concrete strengthening, etc.

2. Slurry for fiber: It has good film forming performance, and has the characteristics of soft and strong tensile strength and elasticity. It is also rich in friction resistance, implication, smoothness, and good feathering effect. And compared with starch slurry, there is no need to worry about spoilage and mildew.

3. Paper industry: It can be used for surface coating and glazing, which can significantly improve ester resistance, solvent resistance and water resistance, and can produce higher fabric strength. It can also be used as a binder in coating systems and as a carrier for optical polishes.

4. Polymerizing agent: used as an effective dispersant or stabilizer. They are mainly used as protective colloids and at very low concentrations to enhance emulsification.

5. Polyvinyl alcohol can play a role in many other industrial applications, such as ceramics, water-soluble films, peelable coatings and temporary adhesives for non-woven fabrics. These products can also be used in a variety of building materials such as putty and plaster.

Packing and Storage:

Polyvinyl alcohol is packed in paper-plastic composite bag, net weight 25kg/bag, 18MT/20GP without pallets. Other packing 500kg/bag or 800kg/bag is as per customers requirements. PVA should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated room, away from heat sources, and avoid sunlight exposure. After opening the inner bag, it should be used up as soon as possible to prevent moisture and caking. In fact, as long as PVA is not in contact with water, it can be stored for a long time.
